Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Programs for Children 11 and under

Sunday School - Sundays, 9:30am, Room 208

Our Sunday School offers children a time of fellowship and fun as they learn about God's presence in their lives. Concepts are taught in four-week blocks using appropriate materials from a variety of curricula. Children bring arts and crafts home each Sunday as reminders of the week's lesson.

Children's Church - Sundays, 11:00am, Sanctuary and Room 208

The Children's Church participates in the first half of the Sunday Morning Worship Service. Partipants gather on the front pew of the sanctuary where they enjoy singing, fellowship with the church community, and a lesson from Pastor Tota. They then go to room 208 for continued worship and fellowship. Children's church provides 8-week themed lessons with activities such sing-a-longs, Bible movies, themed games, and crafts.

Children's Fellowship

Westover’s children’s group is comprised of elementary students who attend schools in the surrounding area. Once a month children spend time in a fellowship activity. In the past they have decorated the Sanctuary Christmas Tree, and been to Chuck E Cheese.

Music Programs

Westover offers a variety of opportunities to young musicians at all levels of ability. Young singers may join in children's choir events. Children participating in the Youth and Children's Music Program learn hand bells with their choice of piano, violin, viola, cello, or bass. Four- and five- year olds enjoy instruction in hand bells along with a choice of piano, violin, or cello. All lessons are free of charge. For more information on these and other opportunities, go to the Music page or contact our Music Director.

Service Opportunities

Children are encouraged to foster a loving character through service. Age-appropriate opportunites to serve God through His people include activites such as handing out flowers on Mother's Day, making crafts for our home-bound members, donating toys for the Preschool fundraiser, and participating in special occasion worship services. Service opportunities are provided through our Music Ministry's children's programs. Please contact the leaders for more information on service opportunities currently offered by each ministry.
