Programs for Young People Ages 12 to 18
Youth Fellowship
Westover’s youth group is comprised of middle, junior and high school students who attend schools in the surrounding area. Youth have a fellowship time once a month, if they are not doing a mission event that month. In the past they have been to Kings Dominion.
Music Programs
Whether you're a beginning or advanced musician, our Music Ministry offers a variety of opportunities to you. Join our youth hand bells ensemble and be an integral part of the Sunday Morning Worship Service. As a participant in the Youth and Children's Music Program, you will enjoy instrumental lessons free of charge. Do you sing? Young singers may audition for the adult choir or join in children's choir events. For more information on these and other opportunities, go to the Music page or contact our Music Director.
Bible Study - Sundays, 10:00am, Hardison Hall Room B
Keeping faith and focus during your teen years can be a challenge! Our weekly Youth Bible Study will help you stay on track. Grow spiritually as you learn more about God and your relationship with Him. Have questions? We'll help you find the answers. Our classes are specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of those attending. Activities include scripture reading, discussion, games, contests, movies, and special projects.
The Youth Bible study is preceded by a time of fellowship with snacks, music, games, and conversation beginning every Sunday at 9:30 AM.
Service Opportunities
Does a home-bound neighbor want cheerful company? Does a church member need help while recovering from an injury? Would a retirement community enjoy a hand bells concert? Grow closer to God through community service large and small. Opportunities are available to any one participating in our Youth Bible Study or Music Ministry. To volunteer, attend any of these programs and talk to the program leader.
