The mission of Westover Baptist Church is to fulfill Jesus Great Commission as given in the gospel of Matthew 28:19-20.

Our purpose is to facilitate “worship of God; the study, teaching, and practice of God’s Word and Christian discipleship; promote and advance Christ’s kingdom throughout our community; and the preserve and promote of our Baptist beliefs and heritage.” 

We exist to praise God and to serve Him through witness, influence, and works of compassion. 

We recognize and receive the Bible as the inspired Word of God.  We accept the doctrines and teachings of the New Testament as the foundation of our faith and practice.

To complete our mission and purpose for existence, Westover Baptist Church will conduct ministries that support Professional Women, Single Family head of households, and other groups as directed by the Holy Spirit, who are within a five (5) minute drive of our location.

Having placed our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and having joined this local expression of His Church, we covenant together:

• To engage regularly with the church in worship of God to constantly seek spiritual renewal;
• To study the Bible and seek through God’s Word and through prayer the eternal truths bearing upon our personal lives, responsibilities and actions as church members and as citizens;
• To live in Christian love within our families, with other members of the congregation and in relations with all people;
• To discover and cultivate the gifts which God has given us and use them in His service for Christian growth and outreach;
• To give financial support to the ministry of our church systematically and even sacrificially in a spirit of gratitude; and
• To make our talents and gifts, however great or small, available through service in at least one of the ministries in our church.
