Prayer Time It is said, "Little prayer, little power; some prayer, some power; much prayer, much power." Come and celebrate God's presence and power; lay the burdens of our world and your life at His feet. . What is prayer? It is a gift we receive and use to communicate with God. Through Scripture, an authoritative source, specifically Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus instructed his disciples how to pray, using what we call "The Model Prayer." Some call it "The Lord's Prayer." Why pray? The Holy Spirit, as God, Savior, Advocate and Mentor, wishes to grow in close relationship with us, so Prayer is an important activity in a Christian's life. Not only do we hear from Him through His Word, but we can speak confidentially to Him, praising Him for our blessings and asking Him for what we need. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7 NIV)." I'm in need of prayer. What do I do?
